My Congratulations to Sturmwolf for his rather short, but excellent mission which brings back some of the "magic" the old OFP had to ArmA. While most people agree that ArmA will provide endless hours of good gaming experience in the future, they also agree in where this will come from: not from the hastily constructed and poorly scipted BIS campaign and missions in stock ArmA; instead, the magic will come from usermade missions like Combat Recon from Sturmwolf.
It has everything I want to see in a SP mission: first, a story that is not like a B-class action movie or far fetched run-and-gun-shooter mission so many other games have where players win anyway if they just have enough health packs (you know, like "Hey, You grab these 4 men and attack the enemy batallion over there. Don't forget to destroy all 10 tanks and 3 attack helicopters they have!").
Second, reasonable behaviour and placement of enemy units (I won't tell more to avoid spoilers but be assured this mission can be won without losses if you know how to use your team).
Third: Deep immersion into the battle situation due to dynamic mission flow. When driving along the suggested escape route, your team WILL encounter a new and unexpected situation. You are free to choose wether to fulfill annother objective or just sneak around the threat and return to base.
Fourth: The scripting, i. e. enemies and friendlies movement triggers and mission objective triggers work perfectly well. No banging your head on the keyboard like you might want to do when fulfilling the last objective in a BIS ArmA campaign mission and it just doesn't end...
Conclusion: Stuff like this mission make ArmA the game it was designed to be! Download, enjoy this mission and look for more usermade content like Sturmwolfs fine piece of work.

But after reading this I will make sure to try this one
We love the way this mission is laid out. But we are having a problem with this mission on the Special Detachment server.
When we secure the town and approach the prisoners to take them under control, the game crashes for the team leader regardless of which team member approaches. After that, we get a "Mission Complete" before finishing the remaining two objectives.
Can the scripting please be fixed to resolve this bug? This is a great fun mission. We'd love to be able to play it through.

though I didn't understand how to get that objective 3 done, it always failed, even while sneaking.
